Guys with backward hats, playing music, flashing lights, watching the floor.
Couples making out in the corners.
Young boys thrashing to cool music they don't know the words to.
Girls dancing in groups, looking, to make sure they are getting looked at.
Too-old-to-go-to-a-high-school-dance boyfriends, waiting across the street in
their cool cars, smoking cigarettes.
A couple separted by the room, each sitting with a scowl, waiting for the
other to apologize.
The chaperones, leaning on railings, pretending not to pay attention.
The girls in the bathroom, giggling, doing their hair and make-up.
The boys in the bathroom, peeing and talking about the girls in the bathroom.
The couple staggering in late, hoping nobody notices.
The curfew warning siren ringing.
